Many thanks to Andrea Olivato from the Influencer analytics company, Popular Chips, and Mahima Puri, from PhotoMoolah, a content crowdsourcing company, for joining me in hosting a night of insights about how to best use Instagram and Influencers in your Marketing mix.
We discussed the benefits of having a business account vs. a personal account, how frequently you need to post in order to maintain your chances of maximum engagement, what kind of content should be in your posts, how to best use hashtags, and how to find and hire Influencers. The key there for smaller companies and startups could be to work with specialty Influencers who have a smaller following but are targeted at the same groups that you are; this could cost less than using a more broadly popular Influencer, who might have a wider reach but that will include lots of people who you might not find relevant.
"Very happy to have met you and what a wonderful Instagram session!"
-Lin XueTing, HongKong Tourism Board
Attendees after the talk continued on to further discuss the nitty gritty of their own social media marketing situations. If you missed it, don't worry: We will hold another session in January. Happy holidays, and see you in 2018!
